We are a full-service residential interior design firm, experienced in taking projects from initial design concept to completion.
We offer three services to best suit our clients needs; Renovation & New Construction, Furnishing & Decorating and Distance Design.
Our approach is based on a '3 Phase Design Process' which includes; Consultation, Design & Presentation, Implementation.
Renovation & New Construction
If you are embarking on a renovation of your home, or planning a new build, JLI is experienced in providing the design & planning services you need for a successful project.
From consulting with architects, designing and specifying all material finishes, full construction drawings & package, and working with the trades until completion, we've got you covered.
Furnishing & Decorating
If your space has good bones, and you are looking for furnishing and decor only, or to complete your renovated space, JLI can provide a beautiful soft furnishings design for your home.
From furniture plans, design and specification of all furnishing and soft finishes, window treatments, art selection, and styling. We handle everything down to the accessories for a magazine worthy space.
Distance Design
JLI has delivered projects across Canada as well as in the U.S. If your project is located outside of Ontario, JLI can provide design services for your project.
For long distance projects, we offer consultation services, as well as take on full service renovation or furnishing projects.
How we work
The Process
Phase One - Consultation
We start every new client relationship with an ‘in home’ consultation.
Our consultation is an opportunity for the designer and clients to meet, walk through and discuss both the goals and challenges with the space.
The consultation is followed by a unique project proposal for your home including:

A detailed job scope

Preliminary project budget

An estimate of the design fees
Phase Two - Research, Design & Presentation
Our Research, Design & Presentation services include developing a unique design scheme for your home. We will also provide a detailed timeline and budget for the presented design plan.
The design fees for this service are determined by the size and scale of the job, and will be provided following a consultation.
The design package includes:

Renderings of each space

Millwork drawings

Material & fixture selections

Floor plans, and furnishings

Detailed pricing proposal for all project items
Phase Three - Implementation
Our project implementation service is where we take our client's customized design plan, and oversee every detail until the project is complete.
This includes:

Working with trades

On-site meetings and tracking progress

Production of custom items with vendors

Procuring project items
-
Managing receipt of all materials & installations
-
Final styling for a magazine worthy space
Our project management fees are based on the size and scope of your project, and are tabulated and presented with our design package.
